Long Time, No Write!

Hey people. Wow... I haven't written since August! I'm such a slacker sometimes... Anyway, I might as well fill you in.
Well school started and so far it's pretty normal. We had our first class dance! That was pretty fun! It was full of dancing, great music, and lots of food!
What else happened...? Oh right, Halloween! This year I got to Trick-or-Treat with Inge! We learned that you don't knock on doors without porch lights (Don't Ask).
Now, fast-forward to Thanksgiving Break. I pretty much slept through Monday through Wednesday, then ate till I felt like I was to explode on Thursday with my parents, grandma, and Bob & Lisa.
Over the course of these last couple months I have developed a long-term obsession with drawing and reading Japanese Manga/Anime, and many people think I'm pretty good! Next time I will post some pictures!

Summer's almost over

Hey everybody. Sorry about the lack of recent posts. Been really busy plus the internets been down at my house. Well, over the summer I've really gotten into photography, especially after I got a really nice camera for my birthday in July (Thanks Mom!). I was thinking.. Maybe I should start a new blog that's just for my pictures. So let me know what you think of that idea! In fact I'll include some of my pictures at the bottom of my post! (Your Welcome)
In other news, I've spent most of my summer eating free lunch at the St. Johns Community Center, swimming, camping, singing, taking pictures, playing video games, and hanging out with my best friends!
It's been fun so as you might guess I am dreading the day when school starts (Which is in 21 days, 14 hours 33 minutes).
I still can't believe I'm already in 7th grade. The years are flying by. Soon I'll be in High School. That scares me.

Medieval Games

Today at my school, I'm having Medieval Games! Usually I travel somewhere with other schools along with my class to have Medieval Games, but unfortunetly that is not happening this year. Medieval Games is a day of games that medieval people would have played. Although we are playing games, apparently it's not about competition, it's about participation. And if you have no idea what games medieval people would have played and are wondering what games I will play today, then you are out of luck. Apparently Medieval Games is supposed to be like a quest so I have had no practice because they are not allowed to tell us what we are doing! So I'm gonna hope for the best and put out all I have!

Too tired to name this post

It's been a terribly normal and tiring last couple of weeks. Right now I'm studying for my end-of-the-year math quiz, plus all my normal homework. But there is a good side to things. 1. There's Glee tonight! (But unfortunately this is the last one until September.) 2. I have a giant feast for my school on Thursday night (Which is also my bff's birthday! Happy Birthday Korah!)! 3. Medieval Games on Friday!
For those of you who don't know, Medieval Games is a special field trip for 6th graders at my weird Waldorf-based charter school. They won't tell us what events we will be competing in, but I think they're making it up and they haven't figured it out yet!
Anyway, I'm also excited about the premiere of Taylor Swift's new music video for "The Story of Us," which is at 7:53 PM tonight, to be exact.

Her voice and her song-writing skills are amazing! Therefore, I think you should check her out! The Writing Process

First, I want to thanks Lisa Nowak for giving me so many great tips and ideas for creating and getting to know your characters for the book that I'm writing right now. It is called "The Life of A Typical Girl." TLTG ("The Life of A Typical Girl") is about a girl in middle school with friends, enemies, the usual. I'm basing all my characters in that book off kids in my class and teachers in my school.

In other news, my new favorite album is Let Go by Avril Lavigne. My favorite songs in it would have to be "Losing Grip," "Sk8er Boi," and "I'm With You." Of course, I still love Taylor Swift, but now I also really like Avril Lavigne!

Also, I'm sorry for not posting for a week or two; I've been really busy with Tae Kwon Do, Soccer, Homework, and such. But from now on, I will try my best to post at least once a week.

Anyways, back to TLTG, here's a preview:

Chapter 1
Once upon a time there was a beautiful girl who had the boys falling at her feet, but only one had a special place in her heart…

“NARI!”

“What? Oh, sorry Ms. Watson. What was the question?” I say very quickly.

Ms. Watson is a large woman with long coarse black hair and even blacker, narrow eyes. Despite her dark looks, she always wears a flower print shirt under a princess pink jacket. Also, instead of wearing good old blue jeans, she wears blood red tight-fitting jeans. Truthfully, she scares everybody.

“What is the square root of 5678?” says Ms. Watson as the classroom goes quiet.

I shoot a look at Alika. Her big blue eyes are overflowing with pity. Crap. I think she’s messing with me again.

I think hard. “Um, 58?” I blindly guess.

“Sorry, Nari, you got it wrong. The answer is 75.352504935138. That’s 5% off your grade.” Ms. Watson says bluntly. “Class dismissed.”

“Man, that witch is horrible to you!” Katie mutters as soon we get to the hall. Katie is my best friend.

“Tell me something I don’t know. What’s next period?” I ask.

“Science,” Katie replies.

“Hey, come here,” Femi says to Katie urgently.

“I need to…” Katie starts.

"Yeah, I get it. See you later,” I say. I hate how Femi is always taking Katie like she owns her. I seriously don’t get why she’s even friends with her.

“Hello? Earth to Nari?” I turn around to find Krystal tapping me on the shoulder. “Hey, Ms. Watson is a witch! I can’t believe she took 5% off your grade!” she exclaims.

"Yeah… What’s new? You didn’t just come to tell me that, did you?” I ask.

“Actually, there’s a new kid coming to English today after science. I heard his name is Josh,” Krystal says excitedly.

“Oh? Do you think that's the boy you know from kindergarden?” I reply.

“Maybe,” Krystal says as she leaves to catch up with Zoe.

“Who can tell me what photosynthesis is?” Mr. Kirkwood asks the science class.

He might as well have asked an empty room because no one even had a clue what the heck he just said. So of course, we spent the rest of class being lectured about paying attention in class and homework and yadda yadda yadda instead of actually learning what the heck photosynthesis is.

Okay, so I was checking my Twitter and saw something about Rebecca Black. For those who don't know, she is a teen singer who has a song on YouTube called "Friday." The lyrics are simple, but get inside your head. I don't love it and I think she could have done less auto tuning, but I think that she does not deserve the horrible cyber-bullying she is getting. I don't understand why people think she is so horrible. She's only in eight-grade, so give her a break!!

Books and their Writing

Now if you remember, on May 9 last year I gave you guys a sneak peek of a book I'm writing, but unfortunately I got too busy to continue it and quickly forgot about it. Anyway, I was looking through my computer documents and found that book and thought, how about a write a new book? But in order to write that new book I would have to make new characters! In the past, I have always had a hard time with character personalities, so this time I am basing my characters off of real people.

Right now, the title of my book is: The Life of a Typical Girl. When I finish the first chapter I will give you guys a sneak peek, but until then, TTYL!

So I follow @fansoftaylor on Twitter and they provide news about Taylor Swift and links to blogs about her and such. So I was looking at one of their tweets and it had a link to Taylor Swift's website and I checked it out and I saw a bunch of forums about favorite songs on her first album. So I got thinking about how I'm a Taylor Swift fanatic, but I don't even have all her songs! To fix this problem, I went on iTunes and bought the rest of her first album. I've found exceptional songs that I absolutely love, including: A Place in This World, The Outside, Invisible, and Stay Beautiful.

Puppy, School, and Life

Hello everybody! I am so sorry for my absence!! Lately I have been so busy! With school starting and my puppy doubling in size every couple minutes, I totally forgot about my blog. It feels so good just to blog out all my feelings. Dempsey, my puppy, has puppy play dates with my BFF Korah's puppy Blue. Both my parents are working now so I have been with with Dempsey for the last couple of weeks, so it has been a relief to go over to Korah's house to have the pups play!
Anyway, I am anxious to see how my first day of school will play out. Most of my friends are leaving and going to other schools. And we are going to have SEVEN new kids come into my class. This year of school should be interesting. I still can't believe that in 4 days summer will be over and I will have to go back to school.
But my summer has been pretty awesome so far. I have played with puppies, hung out with friends, gone to Kansas City to help watch my little cousin, and had a lot of fun along the way.

Music Video, Weekly Puppy Update, Phones, and a Summer Job!!

Okay guys!! I have been so absorbed in taking care of my cute little puppy!!! He is 7 pounds (or 8 or 9 or something crazy like that!!) and that is over double what he was when we got him 3 weeks ago!! He knows how to get up the stairs, so we have to put boards on the start of both of our staircases. Anyway, on my weekly check-up on YouTube I found the awesomest female singer besides Taylor Swift!! Okay, I have a little more time before I have to make my puppy so tired he will actually fall asleep, so I want to tell you all about my new phone. I have unlimited texting though, plus the calling feature. Now I want to hear from YOU!! What is your phone? What is your provider? I have a summer job! Now you're thinking, Kaia's much too young for a summer job!! But think again!! I have a 2-hour weekly shift at the Kenton Library to help with the Summer Reading Program starting tomorrow!!! Okay, I have to go!!

My one problem with this little puppy is that I can't find a name for him!!!!

I hope that you AWESOME people who are my fans (about six people!) give me some suggestions! Believe me, I've looked all over the internet!! The best names I've found are T-Rex, Nibbles, and 3-Putt!

My parents want to name him Dempsey after the soccer player or Moncha, which means spot even though he has no spots! The other two other names they like are Seamus (shay-muss) and Dozer.

So please give me some suggestions!!!

I've got to give this little guy some attention right now, so I'll talk to you next week!

My Book!

Hi everybody! This week I am going to post the first chapter of the book that I'm writing on my mom's MacBook computer. Here it is:

Chapter 1

I woke up to my sister’s loud hip-hop music. My sister’s name is Rachel and she’s 16. Did I mention that she thinks that she should be the center of attention 24/7? My name is Isabella, and since I’m only 14, I’m considered “irrelevant” or at least that’s what my sister says and she thinks that irrelevant means stupid. Anyway, when I woke up, I smelt waffles and bacon. You’d think that a person would get sick of that same breakfast after a year, but somehow I still loved it. I followed my nose to the kitchen and sat at my place at the table.

“Rachel!! Come to the kitchen!” said my mom.

“She can’t hear you, she has her music on too high,” I said.

“Can you get her, Belle?”

“Sure, but call me 'Iz,'” I said.

“Whatever, honey.”

I turned the corner and walked down the hall to Rachel’s room.

“Hurry up! Breakfast’s ready,” I said.

No one answered.

“Rachel!” I nearly screamed.

I opened the door and I found the most surprising sight I would that day. The window was open and there was no sign of Rachel. I almost screamed right there and then. Rachel had talked about running away in her diary (yeah, I look in her diary!), but I didn’t think that she was serious! I ran as fast as I could to the kitchen and when I got there, I screamed, “MOM!! RACHEL’S GONE!! WHAT DO WE DO?!?!?!?!?!?!?!” Or at least that’s what I meant to say. What I really said was more like: “MOMRACHELSGONEWHATDOWEDO!?!?!”

“What honey? Speak slower please,” said my mom.

“MOM!!!! RACHEL IS GONE!!!”

“WHAT?” asked my mom.

“Go look for yourself if you don’t believe me!” I said.

We both raced to Rachel’s room and my mom screamed when we reached it. Then I started crying. I mean, I didn’t exactly worship Rachel, but I didn’t hate her either! In under one minute, my mom was calling the FBI or whoever you call when there’s a missing person. By that time, I was assuming the worst: dead, tortured, and the likes. These things haunted me for what seemed like hours, but were probably just seconds.

“I know that is hasn’t been twenty-four hours, but I need you to look!” my mom said, most likely to the police. “Send a search party or whatever you want, just please look! If you won’t help me I’ll help myself!” My mom hung up.

“Are we going to look?” I asked.

“I am. You are going to stay here,” my mom said.

I would have protested, but when my mom is sure about something, there’s no talking her out of it. I heard my mom shut the door behind her. I started stressing out. I get stressed out really easily. Suddenly, I heard a sound come from down the hall. I slowly skulked down the hall to Rachel’s room. When I got to her room, my mouth dropped. I saw Rachel, but she wasn’t alone. There was a boy. He looked about nineteen, which was way out of her league. But most importantly, Rachel was back, but she had a boy with her!! As I watched, they whispered to each other. And then the boy jumped out the window! Rachel looked up. She noticed me. I felt like dying. She raised a finger to her mouth. Then she crossed the finger across her neck. I got the message.

“Mom is looking for you. Outside,” I managed to say.

“Damn,” said Rachel.

I ran outside and screamed for mom. She came running back.

“What is it, Bell?” asked my mom.

“Rachel’s back!” I said.

Instantly, my mom ran inside. I followed her.

“Rachel?” my mom shouted.

“Yeah?” said Rachel.

“Where the hell were you?” asked my mom.

“I was… um… at a party?” said Rachel.

I guess she figured that saying that she went to a party was better than saying I went to see a guy that can jump out of windows like superman.

“Rachel May Roberts!!” screamed my mom.

Oh, no, I thought. Rachel’s gonna get it now.

“How dare you go to a party! I thought you were kidnapped or something!!!” my mom shrieked.

She regained her composure and said “Rachel, you are grounded for the rest of your life. You can have time with your friends once a week.”

To some of you, this may seem like a fair punishment, but to Rachel, this was the most unfair thing she had ever heard.

“I hate you! Now I wish I had run away!” screeched Rachel.

Unlike some people, I didn’t enjoy my mom yelling at my siblings. I slowly crept away down the hall. When I reached my room, I started wondering who the hell my sister was with and why he was with her. I wondered one question most of all, how had he jumped from the 10-foot tall window and still survived?

“GO TO YOUR ROOM RIGHT THIS INSTANT RACHEL!!” I heard my mom screaming at Rachel.

Next I heard a high-pitched scream, followed by stomping leading to Rachel’s room. Great, I thought. Rachel’s basically gonna be pissed off until she moves out. Mom’s going to have a nervous breakdown and I’ll never know who Rachel was with. That last complaint was kind of selfish, but can a girl have some curiosity?

Wait, I think I recognized something about that guy, something about his, his… Suddenly, crying disrupted my thoughts. I didn’t want to go and comfort my mom, but some instinct of mine made me. I walked down the hall to the kitchen and to my mom.

“It’s okay, Mom. Just wait till dad gets home. He’ll know what to do,” I said.

Boy, was I wrong.

When Dad got home, I yelled, “Dad, come here!!”

“Coming!” he yelled back.

“Mom, see you in a minute. Okay?” I said very softly.

“Okay,” my mom said just as softly.

I ran down the hall. Then I slowly crept back so I could hear them.

“What’s up? Hey, what’s wrong?” said my father.

“Oh Mitch, it’s Rachel.”

“What do you mean?” asked my dad.

“BELL!!” screamed my mom.

Oh. No.

“Yeah?” I said.

“Come and tell your dad what happened,” said my mom.

While I was explaining, I seemed to notice every detail on my dad’s face. First his expression was questioning, then concerned, then horrified. I nearly said something about the boy...

It's Sky Blue F.C. vs. F.C. Gold Pride. It's 1-0 Gold Pride. Christine Sinclair scored. Marta, from the Brazil national team is doing absoloutely AWESOME! Ok, for those of you who want to subscribe, but don't know how, I will now tell you. You all know how under the title of my blog there is a heading that says SUBSCRIBE TO YOUR WEEKLY DOSE OF AWESOMENESS, right? Movie Review of How to Train Your Dragon

The first thing I want to say about How to Train Your Dragon is that it is totally awesome! The dragons in the movie are really cat-like. I mean, they love to be scratched behind their ears, they chase spots of light, they're really sensitive about what you do, and are really protective! Anyway, I love the animation and the story, I really like the character Astrid; she's really cool! The whole point of what I'm writing right now is to say that How to Train Dragon is REALLY awesome and you should TOTALLY go see it!
Moving on, I would like to hold a contest! The contest is to see who can send me the most OUTRAGEOUS and AWESOME pic/video to me, ok? I have a feeling this is going to be totally AWESOME!

My First Post!

Hi everybody! This my first post, so I really DON'T know what to say! Anyway, I would just like to say that I love bacon, fried chicken and anything with sugar! Other things I think are COMPLETELY awesome are the Twilight Saga, Taylor Swift, and um, SUGAR! Oops, I already said that! Oh well.
